Barres N Blades opened its doors in April of 2005. We are a family owned and operated business with years of dance experience behind us. Now with our online store, which made its debut in August of 2008, we are especially excited to expand our knowledge in the dance world.

When you visit Barres N Blades in Lake Orion, you will notice that not only do we love what we do, we have put a lot of time and effort into creating a beautiful store for you to shop at. Enjoy using the spacious dressing rooms to try on clothing and the large dance floor to try out your shoes before your purchase! We offer a large variety of the finest apparel for dance, figure skating and gymnastics in your favorite brands such as Capezio, Leo's, Bloch, Danskin, Sansha, GK, Jerry’s, Mirella, MotionWear, Basic Moves and many more! We choose our apparel based on style and quality at great prices to help you shine in class and performance!

Along with a full line of dance shoes for the beginner all the way to the professional, our expertise in shoe fitting has greatly added to our success. We know the importance of a good shoe fitting and will take the time with you to make sure your shoe is a perfect fit! Pointe shoe fittings are also available anytime by our highly skilled and experienced staff. We carry many different styles and brands so that you will get the pointe shoe designed for your individual needs. If you call for an appointment, we will put aside an hour or more to fit your pointe shoes at no extra charge! Walk-ins are welcome too.
